NEW RELEASES, SALES, & REVIEWS 1/20/15

Happy Tuesday everyone!! This week’s sales and new releases are really getting me in a frenzy, simply because they ALL sound amazing and I wish I could read them at the same time. Some really rare sales have also appeared (a good bunch are my favorites too!) so I’m really excited to share those with you as well. Some books that I’ve been eyeing are: A Second Chance at Paris by Cole McCade ($.99) (heroine was a dork before and re-invents herself and runs into her old flame in Paris), Going Long by Cari Quinn (hero has always come in second to his older brother, he lost his girl to him, and this is their second chance romance), Withering Hope by Layla Hagen ($.99) (survival romance – the hero and heroine land in the middle of the Amazon rainforest!!), and The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan (not a new one, but it did get a gorgeous new cover. Oh and I’ve been told countless times this one’s an addictive NA romance).

As for my reading this past week, I did read and enjoy Cartel by Lili St. Germain and it’ll be released in just 1 week! I just finished Trade Me by Courtney Milan and really enjoyed it!! It’s a NA romance with a billionaire hero who was so down to earth, a smart and sassy heroine, and tons of witty banter that had me laughing out loud many times! I highly recommend it, and will have my review up tomorrow.

NEW RELEASES

  • Trade Me by Courtney Milan <– brand spankin’ new and a NA romance I loved!!! I literally just finished it, and will have my review up soon. The character banter was so witty and hilarious, and the billionaire hero was so down-to-earth!
  • Seducing Destiny by Amelia Hutchins <– highly anticipated 4th book in her Fae Chronicles!
  • Burned by Karen Marie Moning <– 7th book in the Fever series!!
  • Mayhem by Jamie Shaw <– I saw this one recommended by both Wendy Higgins and Jay Crownover and it does sound good! It’s a NA rockstar romance – the hero and heroine had a special moment when they first met at his concert. Thinking that was the end to their connection, the heroine is stunned to find the hero in her French class – which he’s failing – but the catch is that he doesn’t recognize her as the girl he met at his concert!! confused emoticon
  • Three Brothers by Nicole Williams <– I got to read this one early! I liked it, though I still had some issues with it. The best thing about this book is the hero who I’d give 5++++ stars to any day! (here’s my review)
  • The Prince by Sylvain Reynard <– fans of his Gabriel Inferno series!! Here’s an extra novella with more of Professor Emerson and Julianne!
  • Withering Hope by Layla Hagen ($.99) <– I’ve been eyeing this one! The heroine is on her way to marry her fiance, her flight defects and the hero – the pilot – has to make an emergency landing in the middle of the Amazon rainforest!!
  • A Second Chance at Paris by Cole McCade ($.99) <– another one on my top TBR!! The heroine was a dork in her teenage years and she’s completely re-invented herself to the woman she is now – smart, successful, but lonely. She has a chance encounter with the hero, her old flame, in Paris. This is their second chance romance!
  • Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt ($2.99) <— This book sale is a bit different from what I usually post – the book is a memoir actually – but because it made SUCH a big impact on me and was one of the first books I read, I’m going to share it with y’all. It’s a memoir of many things – childhood poverty, loss, love, abandonment, etc… and the writing is phenomenal. The way the author tells his story….you won’t know whether to laugh or cry. Maybe both!

  • Snowflakes & Fire Escapes by JM Darhower ($.99) <– story was in the All I Want anthology so here’s your chance to grab it if you didn’t before!
  • Going Long by Cari Quinn <– on my top TBR! The hero has always come in second to his older brother, even losing the girl he loves to him. Years later when he’s back in town to visit his sick coach, the heroine has separated from his older brother and the hero vows to himself that he won’t let her get away this time.
  • A Million Tiny Pieces by Nicole Edwards <– standalone erotic romance!
  • Love Hurts by Mandi Beck <– This one sounds super angsty! The hero is a MMA fighter and has been best friends with the heroine since childhood. His feelings (and hers too) have evolved from friendship to love since then –> “Frankie De Rosa is my girl, my best friend. I haven’t earned her yet, but I won’t stand by and let anyone take her from me. She will be the greatest fight of my life, but she’s worth the battle. Love hurts, but anything worth having does, right?”
  • Romance to the Rescue boxed set ($.99) <– 10 full length novels where all proceeds are benefiting animal rescue.
  • Ruin Me by Jessica Sorensen ($.99) <– this one’s a standalone novella in the Breaking Nova series! The hero & heroine start off with a friends-with-benefits relationship but when the hero’s mother goes missing, things start to get complicated!
  • Ripper by Lexi Blake <– oooh this paranormal romance sounds good!! The heroine is a private detective – a hunter – and feels obligated to find a little girl who’s become a shifter. Meanwhile, she’s also torn between two guys, one who’s a half-demon lawman and another is an ancient vampire!!
  • Consume Me by Ryan Michele <– 3rd book in her Ravage MC series and it’s a biker romance standalone.
  • Beyond the Consequences by Aleatha Romig <– continues Claire and Tony’s psychologically thrilling journey!
  • Slash & Burn by Jade C. Jamison
  • Winter by Frankie Rose (Callie Hart) <– this one’s a re-release actually and it’s a NA romantic suspense read. The heroine hopes to start with a clean slate at her new college. After all, she’s the daughter of a serial killer gasp emoticon The hero is a cop by day, singer by night who falls for her, even though it may be a problem –> “…falling for a girl whose father was accused of deeply sinister acts—a man whom Luke shared a devastating history with himself—only serves to complicated things.”
  • Strictly Temporary by Ella Fox ($.99) <— this is the first book in her new serial and it’s a NA romance between a small town girl with big dreams and high hopes and a city boy disillusioned with relationships.
  • MILF – Wrong Kind of Love by Erin Noelle <– an older woman, younger man romance and described as “a story of forbidden love with a side of revenge.”
  • The Farther I Fall by Lisa Nicholas
  • On Solid Ground by Melissa Collins <– M/M romance!
  • Just Let Me Love You by S.R. Grey <– 3rd and final book concluding her Judge Me Not series!
  • The Line Between by Tamsyn Bester ($1.99) <– enemies to lovers romance standalone! It was one of my highly anticipated reads that I unfortunately didn’t love. It seems to be a hit with most readers though, so give it a try if you’re interested (here’s my review)
  • Beautiful Burn by Adriane Leigh
  • Lost in Translation by SL Scott ($.99) <– If you’re in the mood for a quick & sweet read, this looks like a good one –> “One beautiful American. One sexy Frenchman. Five days in Paris. That’s all it takes to ignite a spark into a flame.”

The hero and heroine grew up together since they were kids and they both instinctively knew they were meant to be together. But something happened, and the hero had to move away. 4 years later, they meet again but they’re 2 totally different people –> “He’s not the same boy she once fell in love with. It looks to be an emotional read as the hero and heroine have suffered through a lot before meeting. Her: “After surviving multiple tragedies, Savannah Mason is alive, yet she refuses to live.” And Him: “As a veteran suffering the horrid effects of post traumatic stress disorder, Fletcher Reilly is also a survivor…” And then there’s a suspense element that threatens their relationship too!
